About: Mutale Joseph is a biomedical technologist with 7 years of laboratory medicine experience. Currently, he works as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Kabompo District Hospital in North-western Province. Mutale holds a Diploma in Biomedical Sciences from Ndola College of Biomedical Sciences and a certificate in computer literacy. He is enrolled in the school of medicine at the Copperbelt University under Biomedical Sciences to achieve a BSc. He is passionate about laboratory work and leadership and he is interested in seen a future where biomedical scientists are well recognised among the communities. He has his focus embed in immunology, microbiology and QMS. He has worked in several laboratories in the past 6 years of his career, i.e., Tropical Disease Research Centre as a volunteer in 2015 and a team leader in a more recent Nutritional Survey in 2020. He has also worked as a field laboratory technologist in a Zambia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment survey in 2016 with Zambian Statistical Agency and as a biomedical technologist at Mary Begg Community Clinic. He is also pushing for better future for the laboratory scientist which comes with unity of the professionals.
