Paritosh Malaviya

About: Paritosh Malaviya is head of the Data Management Unit in the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Paritosh did his Master in Business Administration with specialization in human resource management. In his professional career of 12 years he has worked as an instructor of computer and information technology, as a software developer and clinical data manager. As a free launcher he has dozens of customized software for different professions to his credit. Since five years, he has been working on several projects on visceral leishmaniasis, a fatal disease if untreated, with the WHO-TDR, European Commission and National Institute of Health, USA. His main areas of research are human resource management, health policy and knowledge management in public health. Till date he has ten publications to his name in peer reviewed international journals. Currently he is pursuing his PhD on the management of visceral leishmaniasis from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
