Aung Pyae Phyo
About: Aung Pyae Phyo, a Burmese (Myanmar) clinician, finished his medical training in 2001 in Yangon, Myanmar. He started working at Shoklo Malaria Research Unit (Maesot, Thailand) in 2005 and has done research in malaria particularly on drug resistance. His current project is to find the optimal management of multi-drug resistant P. falciparum malaria. He finished his D phil at Oxford and moved to Myanmar Oxford Clinical Research Unit (Yangon, Myanmar) as a Senior Clinician Scientist in 2017.His research interest is the epidemiology and management of drug resistant malaria.
